I'm Martha, the owner of MY Event Planning, and I'm here to offer you STRESS FREE planning services for the event of your dreams!

I was born and raised just north of the Kansas City area. I studied Theatre Education at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin and that's where my love of planning started while doing Stage Management.

I found my love for planning by accident, but I am rolling with it and loving every minute of it! Several years ago I wanted to get into some local fairs and events but they always booked up too quickly. So instead of giving up I started my own shopping events and all 6 years it was one of the largest events in my area!

Aside from regular event planning, weddings have a special place in my heart. When I got married in 2011, I was so stressed out and I can honestly say I don’t remember much of the process at all. This was supposed to be the happiest day of my life and it flew right by me. It makes my heart so happy when my couples and families tell me that their wedding was a breeze because they knew I had it all handled. I'd love the opportunity to do that for you as well!

Hi, I’m Aly. I am a 2022 bride and I cannot wait to share my love for all things wedding with you! I love organization, logistics, the little details, and the creative design planning process! I pride myself with having sensitivity to each couple and their families and I want to get to know you so your day can be a true reflection of your relationship. While planning my own wedding in addition to managing my day job, I have learned how stressful and intimidating the process can be. I am here for any assistance you may need, from an ear to bounce ideas off of, to the full shebang.

I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and moved to Kansas for college, I have traveled around the world to many bewildering places, but have always come back to Kansas City. Being from a bigger city I live off the hype, and specifically the hype of wedding day which allows me to create your perfect day with minimal stress to you. Aside from planning your event, I manage the planning and scheduling of a federal program but my goal is to take on wedding coordination full-time as it is truly what brings me joy. I’d love the opportunity to share my passion and stress-free services with you to make your day a breeze.

Hi, my name is Kara Shelley. I'm a Mom, Wife, FurMama, Photographer, Industry Mentor, and your Dream Creator, Coordinator and Designer. I am experienced in the Business and Wedding industry with over 13 years in every aspect of your event, no matter the size.

I empathize with clients that planning any event can be a daunting task, which is why I am here to help. I will work with you to understand your vision for the event and then help to bring it to life. I will handle all of the logistics and details so that you and your family and friends can relax and enjoy the event. I have a passion for making each event I plan a success. Organization, efficiency and Mother Bear tendencies make me a perfect fit for this industry as well as established vendor relationships to give you the peace of mind, the whole team has your back.

Being a photographer, I have a keen eye for detail, which translates into events I plan runs smoothly. I am also a people person and enjoy working with clients and vendors to ensure that everyone is happy with the event. I truly love being able to work with so many different types of people.

I am Ashtyn, a history nerd with a theater background and animal lover with a hint of bias towards dogs. While growing up in KC I was exposed to the wedding industry through my mother who is a wedding photographer. Before I graduated high school, I knew I wanted to travel to see other cultures and would want to attend college for a degree, so I chose the Navy where I was stationed overseas in Japan, and I was able to experience so many unique and extraordinary places while I was out to sea on deployments.

Upon returning back to KC, I knew I wanted to be back in the wedding industry I was drawn to years before. The buzz, the emotions and the process of orchestrating the perfect day captured me. I immediately started working with other wedding vendor professionals to learn the industry with as much hands-on experience while enrolled in UMKC for Hospitality and Business Communications. My ultimate goal is to own my own Elopement Planning Business where I am able to start traveling the world again!
